The Prevost Internal Seal is the heart of the PPS (Prevost Piping System) “Grip Concept.” Designed specifically for aluminum piping networks, this high-performance seal ensures that your compressed air system remains 100% airtight, even under high pressure and industrial vibrations.

Crafted from premium materials, this seal provides the critical interface between the aluminum pipe and the fitting, maintaining system integrity and preventing energy loss through leaks.

Key Features

• Double-Lobed Profile: The advanced “two-lobe” design provides two points of contact against the pipe surface, creating a redundant barrier against air escapes and vacuum loss.
• Teflon® Coated Surface: Each seal is factory-treated with a lubricated Teflon coating.¹ This reduces friction during installation, preventing the seal from pinching or tearing when the pipe is inserted.
• Chemical & Oil Resistance: Made from high-quality NBR (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber), the seal is fully compatible with common compressor oils, lubricants, and neutral gases.²
• Vibration Dampening: The flexible nature of the NBR material absorbs micro-vibrations within the pipe run, ensuring the connection stays secure over years of heavy industrial use.

Installation Best Practices

To ensure the longest possible lifespan for your Prevost Internal Seals:

1. Chamfer the Pipe: Always use a chamfering tool on the end of the aluminum pipe to remove sharp edges that could cut the seal.³
2. Mark Depth: Use the marking gauge on the fitting to ensure the pipe is pushed past the seal and fully seated.⁴
3. Avoid Solvents: Use only approved assembly gels or water-based lubricants if additional lubrication is needed.
