Understanding Your Shipment Status
Once your order leaves our warehouse, logistics can vary depending on the materials purchased.
- Small Parts (Fittings, Valves, Tools)
If your order consists only of fittings or smaller accessories, it will likely ship via UPS or FedEx.
- Tracking: These numbers usually become active within 12 hours of pickup.
- Delivery: Standard ground delivery to your doorstep or receiving dock.
- Pipe & Rail (LTL Freight)
Orders containing 20ft (6m) aluminum pipe or long rail segments must ship via LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) Freight Carrier (e.g., TForce, Estes, R+L, XPO).
- Tracking Numbers (PRO Numbers): Freight tracking numbers (called PRO numbers) sometimes take up to 24 hours to populate in the carrier’s system after pickup.
- The “Appointment” Call: For residential or non-standard commercial deliveries, the freight carrier may call you to schedule a delivery window. Please answer unknown calls while expecting your order to avoid storage fees or delays.
⚠️ Important: Receiving Your Freight Shipment
To ensure your warranty and insurance claims remain valid, please follow these steps when the truck arrives:
- Inspect BEFORE You Sign: Do not sign the Bill of Lading (BOL) until you have visually inspected the pipe bundles for bending, crushing, or open packaging.
- Note Damages: If you see damage, you must write “DAMAGED” on the driver’s paperwork before they leave. If you sign for it “Clean,” we cannot file a claim on your behalf later.
- Count Your Items: Ensure the number of bundles/pallets matches the count on the delivery receipt.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my order say processing? Processing is the status we use once the order has been paid for and acknowledged. If items are partially shipped the order will not change status. The status will not change until all of the items it the order are shipped.
Why did I receive only half my order? It is common for us to “split ship” orders. Your heavy aluminum pipe may arrive on a freight truck, while your box of fittings arrives separately via UPS Ground. Check your tracking details above; if there are multiple tabs or tracking numbers, this is likely the case.
My tracking number says “Label Created” but no movement. This usually means our warehouse has packed your order and printed the label, but the carrier has not scanned it at the terminal yet. Please allow 24 hours for the first scan to appear.
Can I re-route my shipment? For security reasons, we can only ship to the address verified at checkout. If you need to make critical changes, please contact our support team immediately.

Air Piping Sales Order Tracking via My Account
Did you create an account with your order? When accounts are created all you have to do is be logged in and all previous orders in that account will show any associated order tracking. You can also manage addresses, payment methods or any other account related options. If you did not create an account you will need to use the above form. If an account was created after an order you will need to email sales@airpipingsales.com to have that order tied to the account.
