The Prevost PPS Assembly Lubricant is a specialized fluid formulated to facilitate the smooth, safe connection of Prevost aluminum pipes and fittings. While the PPS system is designed for ease of use, the friction between a dry pipe and the industrial-grade O-ring seals can make insertion difficult, particularly with larger diameters.

This assembly fluid significantly reduces friction, allowing the pipe to slide effortlessly into the fitting. More importantly, it acts as a protective barrier, preventing the O-ring from twisting, tearing, or rolling during insertion—the leading cause of leaks in push-to-connect systems.

• Seal Protection: The primary function of this liquid is to lubricate the NBR seal inside the fitting. This ensures the pipe passes through the seal without “biting” or damaging it, guaranteeing a 100% leak-proof connection.
• Reduced Insertion Force: Drastically lowers the physical effort required to push the pipe into the fitting. This is practically mandatory for larger diameters (50mm, 63mm, 80mm+) where manual insertion force is high.
• Chemical Compatibility: Specifically formulated to be chemically neutral and non-aggressive toward the specific rubber compounds used in Prevost seals (NBR). Unlike generic greases or oils, it will not cause the seal to swell or degrade over time.
• Clean Application: Typically supplied in a convenient bottle with a sponge applicator or nozzle, allowing for a mess-free application directly onto the chamfered pipe end or the fitting interior.
• Paint Shop Safe: The formula is designed to be compatible with industrial environments, including paint booths, ensuring no contaminants are introduced that could cause “fish eyes” in paint finishes (silicone-free compatibility).
