Prevost Conex Female Elbow
90° Right-Angle Transition for Threaded-to-Tube Connectivity
The Prevost Conex Female Elbow is a high-performance, push-to-connect fitting designed to create a sharp 90 degree turn between a male threaded component and flexible pneumatic tubing. This fitting is the professional solution for connecting air sensors, pressure switches, or fixed pipework into a flexible tubing circuit when space is tight and a vertical or straight connection is not possible.
Engineered with Prevost’s world-class sealing technology, the Female Elbow provides a secure, leak-free transition that organizes your air lines and reduces mechanical stress on the tubing.
Key Features
- Space-Saving 90° Geometry: Allows for tight routing of air lines against machine frames or inside control cabinets. By turning the connection at a right angle, it prevents the tubing from sticking out, reducing the risk of snags or kinks.
- Instantaneous “Grip” Technology: The tubing port features a signature stainless steel gripping ring. Installation is tool-free—simply push the technical tubing (PU, PA, or PE) into the fitting for an immediate, vibration-proof, and airtight seal.
- 360° Swivel Capability: The elbow body can be rotated fully around the threaded base after it has been tightened. This allows you to orient the tubing exit in the exact direction needed for your layout without compromising the thread seal.
- Rugged Nickel-Plated Brass Base: The female threaded portion is precision-machined from high-grade brass with a corrosion-resistant nickel finish. This provides superior strength for high-pressure applications and resists the wear of frequent assembly and disassembly.
- Full-Flow Internal Path: The internal bore is designed to match the tubing diameter, ensuring that air travels through the 90 degree turn with minimal turbulence and zero pressure drop.

The Versatile Adapter for Industrial Layouts
The Prevost Conex Female Elbow is an essential “problem-solver” fitting. In many pneumatic systems, primary components like regulators or filters feature male-threaded outlets. If these components are mounted in a shallow cabinet, a straight connector would cause the tubing to hit the door. The Female Elbow allows the tubing to run parallel to the mounting surface, creating a much cleaner and more compact installation.
Ideal Applications
- Gauge & Sensor Mounting: Attaching pressure gauges or switches to a tubing line while keeping the profile low.
- Manifold Outlets: Transitioning from male-threaded manifold ports to flexible branch lines in restricted spaces.
- Machine Tooling: Connecting air supply lines to male-threaded coolant or lubrication nozzles.
- Retrofitting: Integrating older threaded iron or brass pipe systems into modern, flexible push-to-connect circuits.
Installation Tip
When threading the elbow onto a male fitting, ensure you use a small amount of thread sealant (for NPT) or verify the presence of a seating gasket (for BSPP) to achieve a primary seal. Once the thread is snug, rotate the polymer body to the desired angle before inserting your tubing. Always use a dedicated tube cutter to ensure a square, burr-free end for a perfect seat.
